GES Großeinkaufsring des Süßwaren- und Getränkehandels eG, Nuremberg, acquired further 57.6 percent of the shares of Horst Lehmann Getränke GmbH in Berlin. The seller is the founder Horst Lehmann, who is retiring from the business for age reasons. GES thus increases its stake in Lehmann to 97.6 percent.

Horst Lehmann Getränke GmbH is one of the most important specialist wholesalers in Germany. Its focus is on supplying the gastronomy industry in Berlin. With this acquisition, GES intends to secure and expand its strategic market position in the German specialised beverage trade in the long term, according to its Chief Executive Officer Ulrich Berklmeir.

GES Großeinkaufsring des Süßwaren- und Getränkehandels eG is a cooperative association of medium-sized beverage wholesalers, beverage market operators, convenience wholesalers and vending machine operators from all over Germany. The clearing turnover of the association amounted to 880 million euros in 2021.

FRANKUS employs around 65 employees in Düsseldorf, including more than 20 professionals in tax and legal advice as well as in auditing. The partnership advises German medium-sized businesses as well as international groups. All partners and many staff members previously worked for a "Big Four" company or an international law firm, some of them also in management positions on the client side.
