Professional liability insurance

The professional liability insurance is with Versicherergemeinschaft für das wirtschaftliche Prüfungs- und Treuhandwesen, Dotzheimer Str. 23, 65185 Wiesbaden. 

The geographical scope of the insurance cover includes activities in the member states of the European Union and thus meets at least the requirements of Art. 54 of the Wirtschaftsprüferordnung (WPO) in conjunction with the Verordnung über die Berufshaftpflichtversicherung der Wirtschaftsprüfer und vereidigten Buchprüfer (WPBHV).

Professional title

The legal professional designations "Wirtschaftsprüfer" (public accountant), "Steuerberater" (tax adviser), "Rechtsanwalt" (lawyer) were conferred in the Federal Republic of Germany. Licenses to exercise the profession were granted in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Wirtschaftsprüferkammer (WPK) is a corporation under public law, whose members are all Wirtschaftsprüfer (German public accountants), vereidigte Buchprüfer (German sworn auditors), Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaften (German public audit firms) and Buchprüfungsgesellschaften (German firms of sworn auditors), in Germany.
